Gynecomastia may keep coming back as long as there are breast tissues and the root cause of this condition is not resolved. Breast tissue enlargement is just a sign of a disease, but if that progresses to cancer, that’s where a surgery should be done.
Even with the total removal of the breast, the cancer can still be there, which can spread to the distant organs. Even if the person opts for a surgical procedure, as long as the estrogen level is still high, there’s no way he can escape from cancer. It can target the prostate. Enlargement of breast tissues can occur in a newborn, as a result of the maternal estrogen that has stayed in the body of the newborn. The breast tissue doesn’t go back to the way it was before.
